Bill that forces insurance to cover mental illnesses

Timothy's lawSweet – a new law in New York, Timothy’s law, requires health care providers to cover mental illnesses such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders. From the article:

“If Governor Pataki signs the bill, insurance companies will have to provide 30 inpatient days of treatment as well as 20 outpatient days.”

If only the law became standard across the nation…

    It’s good to know that New York Governor taking care of people’s health in a better way.
