I'm getting lazy so I might stay with Typepad for a while. How I'll fund the $12/month crack habit is yet to be determined.

Hey Kass, here’s my standing offer: If you want to get your own domain, it’s like $12 a year. Hosting is about $4 a month. If you want to save a few bucks and get what I believe is a better blogging deal, I’d be happy to help you set up and maintain your own personal WordPress installation. You’d be able to do everything you’re doing here, and more, for a lot less. Just let me know.
